Charge

This Committee tracks current legislation and legislative implementation, affecting the public and private sectors, which impacts the practice of Clinical Social Work in Illinois. The voting records and positions of elected officials and candidates, on relevant issues, will also be followed.

Key information will be shared with Society members. Items of importance will be detailed, and methods of intervention will be offered, to support members’ advocacy efforts.

The Committee will also forward information about legislative issues, which might merit public comment and/or intervention, to the board for further analysis and instruction.
